WHAT THE HECK IS THIS BUG

Here's a weird Tennessee bug on our door.

VIEW FROM OUR LIVING ROOM

I'll post some more pictures later of the cabin I rented.  This is the view from the deck outside the living room doors.  It was a scary drive up those mountain roads but just an absolutely amazing week.

DEBBIE"S FAMILY

Isn't this an amazing looking family.  After a week in TN we went on to Virginia to see Debbie's brother and his family.  They were just the nicest people.  Her brother builds some amazing custom built homes.

NEED TO GET SOME THINGS DONE

Well I have two quilt tops finished but I never post them till they are quilted and done.  One I sent out for quilting and the other I was just waiting till I had more than one to mount on the frame.

However, I was just on vacation.  Drove to TN and stopped along the way in Blue Ridge GA for a spa day. What an amazing time we had.  I went with the friend and we decided it was time to just splurge.  We ordered everything they had.  Arrived at 8:30 am and left at 6pm.  They even provided lunch and some amazing peach cider mixed with sparkling cider.

We ended up having a massage, a body scrub, tea tree scalp massage, facials, dry float body wrap, lunch, a hydrosoak and then finished up with a manicure and pedicure.

It was a once in a lifetime day.  After a week on a huge mountain in TN we went to Virginia for a couple of days so Debbie could see her family and headed home

OVERLOAD

Seems I need to blog more often like I used to.  I go from no posts to several at one time.  Here's just a picture of Azeroth my grand dog as he's getting bigger.  Love that little dog.   The second one is when we'd had him about a month.  He still loves mashed potatoes.  He'll be one in July and has reached a whopping 11 pounds. The Japanese Spitz is a beautiful breed but high maintenance but then aren't all grandchildren?

LAST OF THE BLOOMS

Here are the last two blooming.  A white rose and a gerber daisy.  It's a determined little plant.  I think I have it getting a little too much sun so each day it falls over looking half dead then overnight it pops right back up again.  it's a proven fighter so I didn't bother moving it.

JUST MORE PRETTY FLOWERS

Here is an Amarillys (spelling is way wrong) that I planted a few years ago and never bloomed till now.  I had forgotten about the bulb and planted some princess flowers which are now 6 feet high.  Just noticed last week this popped up under it.

The second one is a bromeliad a neighbor gave me.  I think the plant is driving her crazy.  She has a lot of plants and when she gave me this mentioned that it only blooms once a year.  She babies all her plants and she can't believe I just leave them to fend for themselves except for water if it's really dry.  She keeps checking on this plant telling me it's too dry, needs bigger pot, etc.  I think it makes her crazy that in 6 months I had this is the 3rd time it's bloomed.

FLOWERS AROUND THE HOUSE

I'm busy at work finishing up items so I can go on an actual vacation.  No more visiting the ex's family or mad dash somewhere.  So I've been pruning up the bushes around the house and thought I'd post pictures of some that are starting to bloom.  These 2 are vines I bought at Lowe's last year and planted along the fence to block the view of the neighbors yard.  They've grown nicely.  The passion flower one has 20-30 blooms I can't wait to see if they'll all pop open at one time.  That would be amazing.
