DRESDEN FOR KENETHA DONE

I was so excited to finally get this quilt finished for my friend Kenetha.  Riding my bike flares up the RA in my hands so took me quite a while longer than I expected but I think she loved it.   I've only made one dresden bloom before and while neither is perfect, I think they came out well.  I will never be more than adequate on the applique but I'm good with that.

Should have the raffle quilt quilted this next week and I will post a picture of it.  Romaine won the raffle.

COMING SOON - PIMP MY BIKE PART 5

As you can see her handle grips need replacing and guess what - they come in leopard so that's on next months budget.  I've also decided she'd have more carrying room with some rear pannier baskets.  Those will be next month also.  Here's the ones I want to order.   I'll post her finished pics when the items come in

PIMP MY BIKE PART 4

Well nothing says nerd like a basket and what good is running to the store if you have no basket s here is my nerd basket.  I just found a tutorial for making a liner so gonna try that out and spruce up the basket a little.

PIMP MY BIKE PART 3

Finally getting her ready I realized the old seat was shredding.  Since the butter color has been discontinued the matching seat was no longer available.  On a whim I went with the leopard - mostly as it was on sale.  I liked it once it was on the bike.

PIMP MY BIKE PART 2

Of course she needed a water bottle, lock and computer.  Those are necessities.  I barely make it to the driveway before I need water to drink and we have some crazy bike thieves in Zhills.

PIMP MY BIKE SAGA

I rode my old Townie last week and remembered how much I enjoyed riding her.  In traffic it's so much easier to jump on her and run to the store.  So I decided she had been idle so long she needed some work.  Here's my son-in law washing the grease off.   There were several places I couldn't get cleaned and he got it off with lighter fluid.
