FINALLY FINISHED

This quilt wore me out. I've made one before but I just hit wall after wall on this one. I think I unsewed more than I sewed if thats possible. Fortunately it came out well worth the work. It was a gift for my adopted Auntie Hazel. She's a former marine and just had surgery so she needed something cozy. Hope she loves it. It's heading with the her to Little Rock for a week then back home to Minnesota.

NEW CHAIRS

Once I'm done with the living room I'll post pictures of hte new paint and the new sitting area. I wanted to replace the overly large sectional with big chairs but I've always hated recliners. I couldn't believe when I looked at these chairs they are recliners. Felt old though when even the sales guy said they looked a little modern or funky for me. I love em. They just need matchig quilts now.

THINGS MOVING SLOWLY

Well it's tax season so I have little free time but I don't want it to seem like I've been doing nothing. I have decided to repaint the living room and replace the big sectional with recliners. Here is the living room after SIL removed almost all of the purple wallpaper border. It looks like this was put on 20 years ago. It's amazing how much higher the ceilings looked with it gone.
